We provide safe, comfortable, supportive child care for up to 7 children in my home, for children age 5 – 12 years old. Children who attend after-school care will be picked up from school at 2:30pm and return to my home for a snack*, free play, and organized group activities. Children who have homework or prefer to read may do so if they desire. The children will be offered time to go outside every day, either at the school playground or in my fenced yard. Children can be picked up by parent any time before 5:30pm.

Here is a sample schedule for what our day might look like:

2:30pm: Pick Children Up at School
2:30pm – 3:00pm: Play at School Playground
3:00pm – 3:15pm: Walk Home
3:15pm – 3:30pm: Snack & Sharing
While we eat snack each child can take a turns sharing the highlights of their day/show and tell with the group. I may also read them a story while they eat or play soft music to encourage them to wind down.
3:30pm – 4:30pm: Structured Activity
Structured activities may include craft projects, science experiments, cooking, using tools to build something, etc. If a child does not want to participate in the structured activity they can choose a quite, individual activity that will not disrupt the others, such as, reading, puzzles, homework etc.
4:30pm – 5:30: Clean-Up & Free Play
Either inside or outside in the yard. Electronics such as iPads, iPods, DS games, cartoons are allowed now.
5:00pm – 5:30pm: Departure
